On July 10, 2012 Old California Coffee House & Eatery introduced their new Summer Menu for 2012. The new menu will feature 5 New Hot Food Menu Items, with one new vegetarian dish. It is hard to choose a favorite with so many good new choices. You won’t go wrong with New Chicken Ciabatta. We use grilled chicken, red onions, red bell peppers, provolone cheese, spinach and tomato on ciabatta bread. For the vegetarian in the family, we’ve added the Cheesy Tandora, We use a garlic tandora bread and top it with three cheeses; provolone, cheddar and feta. Baked to a golden perfection, it is melted goodness.
Another winner is our Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, which includes hot roast beef, red onions, green bell peppers, provolone cheese on a french roll served with hot au jus sauce. The Tuna Melt is one of my favorites. We use Albacore tuna and mix our secret recipe to make our specialty tuna come to life with flavor. We top it with two pieces of cheddar cheese and bake it to perfection served on toasted wheat bread. Lastly, is our famous BBQ Chicken Pizza. It is a personal sized garlic flat bread (Tandora) with BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, feta cheese and red onions baked until golden brown on the edges with a delicious mouthful of cheese and bbq chicken in every bite.
The Vegetarian menu continues to be the pride of Old California Coffee House with our industry leading Baked Falafel Wrap and Balsamic Baked Tofu items leading the way. All the other favorites are still there, the Hummus Avocado, the Veggie Cheese, Southwest Veggie, Hummus Tabouli and our New Hot Cheesy Tandora rounds out the menu. Of course, you can get any salad as a vegetarian salad, but when you have quality vegetarian menu items that contain the nutrients your body needs, then Old California Coffee house has a great vegetarian menu for you.
For the Vegan in the family, the Balsamic Baked Tofu is vegan. Our Baked Falafel wrap without the tzatziki sauce is also a wonderful vegan dish. Simply ask for no sauce. Some of our customers have added hummus to the baked falafel wrap. I’ve tried it and it is excellent. We do charge a couple bucks for the additional hummus, but it will give you three additional ounces of protein, making it a complete vegan meal for lunch or dinner. Add our Vegan Chili if you are still hungry. It is so good, we’ve had customers swear there is meat in there… Nope! and finally for dessert, choose one of our Vegan Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.
