As 2011 comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who patroned Old California Coffee House & Eatery in 2011! As you can see from the picture above, it has been a great first year for us as the new owners of Old California Coffee House & Eatery in San Marcos, Ca! Here we are stading in front of the new sign at Old Cal Coffee with our three awards from CSUSM Talk of the Town, The Best of San Marcos Restaurants and the San Diego A List Award for Best Coffee Shop in San Diego! When you come in, you’ll notice that we’ve kept everything that you love about Old Cal Coffee the same and even started some new traditions of our own that everyone is enjoying!

Old California Coffee House & Eatery has been named a recipient of the 2011 Customer Satisfaction Award for Excellence in Customer Care, presented by Talk of the Town News, Customer Care News and Celebration Media.

Thank You to everyone who visits our coffee shop on a regular basis! Without you, there wouldn’t be a coffee shop! Through the year, we try to show our appreciation, thanks and grattitude to our community by giving back. We held several fund raisers here at Old Cal Coffee throughout the year, have donated several gift cards and gift baskets to a dozen local charities through out the year. I remember donationg gift baskets to San Marcos High School, Palomar College, Summit Church and we did fund raisers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Susan G Koeman Brest Cancer Fund Raiser, long time customer Scott, Brooke and Rosie who went in for experimental surgery and the San Marcos Arts council just to mention a few that I can remember off the top of my head. I know there were others and I can’t promise anything for 2012, but we will always do what we can to help our community.
Old California Coffee House & Eatery was established in 1990 and is the oldest coffee house in San Marcos. With Free Wi-Fi and a community environment where friends can gather, study, meet, draw, read poetry, play games, laugh and of course, eat & enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea, no wonder it was named San Diego’s BEST Coffee Shop! We Offer large study tables for students, meeting areas for the business professionals with tables and chairs and plenty of couches to relax and enjoy the environment!
The food at Old California Coffee House and Eatery is amazing! They have an incredible food & drink menu where everything served is fresh and delicious! From their Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissants, Bagels, Muffins and Egg Scrambles in the morning to their Gourmet Sandwiches & Wraps, Vegan & Vegetarian Soups & Salads in the afternoon, you are sure to get a great tasting meal at Old Cal Coffee. On a hot day, try their Fruit Smoothies or blended Specialty Coffee Drinks and Desserts! They are to die for! Their entire menu is served from morning to night. Old Cal Coffee has become quite famous for their Vegetarian & Vegan dishes such as our Baked Tofu, Baked Falafel and Homemade Vegan Chili. Come on in and taste for yourself….
